The school has first-class sporting facilities. For summer sports there is a swimming pool, 6 tennis courts and 2 cricket pitches (grass and artificial). For winter sports there are two rugby fields and a soccer field, in a magnificent park-like setting. |

Also available are 2 well-equipped gymnasia for Badminton, Basketball, Futsal, Table Tennis and Volleyball, and a well equipped weight-training room.
There are regular Saturday competitions and a variety of inter-school exchanges across a range of sports. Besides major sports boys have the opportunity to partake in many other activities.

There is a good emphasis on Outdoor Education centred around a senior snowboarding trip every year and the Hillary Challenge and Get 2 Go at an Outdoor Pursuits Centre. The school also makes regular use of Sport Northland's Kensington Complex and the nearby Northland Hockey Association's artificial turf.
