| Mid-year enrolments for 2012 |
For enrolments during the course of the year (after mid-February) for any year level.
Application for enrolment must first be made to the Guidance Counsellor (Mr Ian Frayling) phone (09) 430 4170 ext. 726. If this application is successful an interview with the relevant Year Level Dean is arranged. Details required at this meeting are as listed above.
Students will be expected to commence classes following an orientation tour of the school and after a period of time, allowing for the purchase of all required stationery and uniform. Generally this will mean a start on the first Monday after enrolment formalities are completed.
YEAR 9 STUDENTS
Our Year 9 Dean (Mr H Brits), along with the Headmaster, will visit contributing intermediate and primary schools in Term 3 in order to answer questions and distribute enrolment forms.
Formal enrolment for Year 9 students takes place at Whangarei Boys' High School. This will take the form of an interview with Mr Brits, who can answer your questions and explain the school’s policies and procedures - particularly the Uniform Policy, Safe School Policy and Drugs Alcohol and Other Mind Altering Substances policy.
All prospective Year 9 boys will also sit specially designed academic tests to allow them to be placed in an appropriately streamed class when they arrive at the school.
