Volunteer your time and skills

As with all schools, Whangarei Boys’ High School annually has projects on the go to fulfil the goals set out in our five year property plan. And, again as with all schools there is never enough resourcing to complete all the identified areas that require attention within a project. This year we have projects underway that address the re-vamping of the Horticulture block, remodelling the lounge in Carruth Hostel, roofing in various areas of the school and heating in other areas, upgrading of the toilet facilities and upgrading of the sewer line.
What we are aiming to do is develop a register of parents and Old Boys who might be prepared to donate some time or skills to assist us in some of these areas. From there we will send out a call for assistance on a specified day when we might tackle a task or a number of tasks that will contribute to the completion of one of the projects.
Some of the types of work that can be done is Earthmoving, Building, Electrical, Engineering to name a few. Obviously there will be general labouring type work as well. Regardless of what skill you may have, or the amount of time you may be able to contribute, we are sure we can harness your help.
